Operated by Eduture Technologies Limited
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding legal agreement between you (“you”, “your”, or the “user”) and Eduture Technologies Limited (company number RC1100422), a company registered in Nigeria (“Eduture”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). They govern your access to and use of the Eduture Go mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service. We specifically draw your attention to sections 9 (disclaimer of warranties), 10 (limitation of liability), and 11 (indemnity), which limit our liability to you and place certain risks and obligations on you.
We may update these Terms from time to time (see section 16). Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
The Service is intended for anyone seeking educational and career opportunities — including students, prospective students, graduates, job seekers, professionals, and others looking for scholarships, internships, conferences, and jobs. Some features have age requirements: graduate jobs are available only to users who are 18 years of age or older, except where applicable law permits a person aged 17 to take up specific employment. Other features, including scholarships and general content, are available to younger users.
If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement, supervision, and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must agree to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service as a minor, you confirm that such consent has been obtained.
To use most features you must create an account with accurate, current, and complete information, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly at support@eduture.com of any unauthorised use. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.
You may not create an account for anyone else, share your account, impersonate any person, or use another person’s account without permission. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion (see section 13).
Accordingly, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
We do not guarantee accuracy or availability. Opportunity listings, deadlines, eligibility criteria, descriptions, and other content may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate, and opportunities may be changed, withdrawn, or filled at any time by the third party. You must verify all details directly with the relevant third party before relying on them or applying.
We do not guarantee outcomes. We do not promise that you will be eligible for, be selected for, be awarded, or benefit from any opportunity. Using Eduture Go does not improve, influence, or guarantee the outcome of any application.
Your dealings are with the third party. Any application, communication, agreement, payment, or other dealing between you and a third party is solely between you and that third party. We are not responsible for, and have no liability arising from, those dealings, including any third party’s acts, omissions, decisions, fees, terms, conduct, or failure to provide any opportunity.
Third-party links and content. The Service may contain links to, or content from, third-party websites and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, practices, or availability, and accessing them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not, and must not attempt to, or allow or encourage others to:
use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation, or for any fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful purpose;
upload, post, transmit, or share any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, infringing, or otherwise objectionable, or that you do not have the right to share;
misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation, or provide false information;
interfere with, disrupt, overload, or compromise the security or integrity of the Service or its infrastructure;
access, scrape, harvest, copy, or index the Service or its data by automated means, or reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, access-control, rate-limiting, or usage-restriction feature;
use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages, or to collect or misuse other users’ information;
resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our prior written permission.
We may investigate and take any action we consider appropriate for any actual or suspected breach, including removing content, and suspending or terminating your account, without liability to you.
“Your Content” means any information or material you submit to the Service, such as your profile details, saved items and checklists, and support messages. You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, and use Your Content solely to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law. We may remove any content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, the names “Eduture” and “Eduture Go”, and all related intellectual property, is owned by or licensed to Eduture Technologies Limited and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted. You must not use our name, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.
Third-party content. Some content available through the Service — including images, logos, names, trademarks, and other materials relating to opportunities, institutions, organisations, employers, or advertisers — belongs to third parties and is used for identification and informational purposes only. That content remains the property of its respective owners, we claim no ownership of it, and its appearance in the Service does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement by those owners. You must not reuse any such content except with the relevant owner’s permission.
Reporting infringement. We respect intellectual property rights and aim to act in accordance with the Copyright Act 2022. If you own, or are authorised to act for the owner of, rights in any content that appears in the Service and you believe it has been used without authorisation, please contact us at support@eduture.com with enough detail to identify the content and your rights. Where appropriate, we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the content, and we may suspend accounts or sources that repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
The Service may display advertising and may use third-party providers (for example, for sign-in, notifications, email, hosting, and advertising) to operate. Advertising and third-party content are provided by the relevant third parties, and we are not responsible for them. Your use of any third-party service may be subject to that third party’s own terms and privacy practices.
The Service is currently provided free of charge, and the marketplace operates on a referral basis only; we do not currently process payments or collect payment-card information. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or charges in the future. If we do, we will give you notice and an opportunity to review the applicable terms before any charge applies.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Without limiting the foregoing, we expressly disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, that any content or opportunity listing is accurate, complete, current, or reliable, or that any result or outcome will be achieved through your use of the Service. Any reliance you place on the Service or its content is at your own risk.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EDUTURE TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunities, or anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
This expressly includes, without limitation, any loss or damage arising from: (a) any opportunity listing or content, including its inaccuracy, omission, change, withdrawal, or unavailability; (b) your dealings with, or the acts or omissions of, any third party, including any opportunity provider, employer, institution, or advertiser; (c) any decision you make, or action you take, in reliance on the Service; (d) any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service; and (e) any unauthorised access to or loss of your data.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (i) the total amount you paid us, if any, for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (ii) NGN 100,000 (one hundred thousand Naira).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited (for example, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any right or remedy you have as a consumer under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or other applicable Nigerian law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited). Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Eduture Technologies Limited and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms or any applicable law; (c) Your Content; or (d) your violation of the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defence of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate with us.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, any claim or cause of action you may have arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises; otherwise it is permanently barred, except where applicable Nigerian law requires a longer period that cannot lawfully be reduced by agreement, in which case that longer period applies.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and without liability, including if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service, other users, or third parties. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any feature) at any time.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15) will survive.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Dispute resolution. In the event of any dispute, you agree first to contact us at support@eduture.com and to attempt in good faith to resolve the matter informally. If it cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be resolved by the courts of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Your statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right, remedy, guarantee, warranty, or other term that applies to you under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or other applicable Nigerian law and that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement. Where any provision of these Terms would do so, that provision applies only to the extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions continue in full force.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, or severed, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent. We may assign them, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, agency, employment, or joint venture between you and us.
Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Notices. We may provide notices to you through the Service or by email. You may contact us using the details in section 17.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. The updated Terms take effect when posted (or on any later date we state). Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
